The short version: this site does not track you, and the John OS application touches no one's data but my own.
This website
johnsaad.com is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no trackers, and collects no personal information. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored only in your own browser and never leaves it. The site is served by Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and CloudFront), whose infrastructure produces standard, transient server logs (such as IP address and user agent) for operational and security purposes; I do not use these logs to identify visitors.
If you email me at john@johnsaad.com, I receive what you send and use it only to reply. It is never sold, shared, or added to any list.
The John OS application
“John OS” is a personal automation application that I built and that only I use. It connects to Google services (such as Gmail, Google Tasks, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Contacts) through Google’s OAuth consent process in order to read and manage my own account data on my own devices.
John OS has a single user: me. It does not collect, store, share, sell, or transfer any other person’s data. Data accessed through Google APIs is processed locally on my personal machines, is not transferred to third parties, is not used for advertising, and is not used to develop or train generalized AI or machine learning models. Its use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Questions about this policy can be sent to john@johnsaad.com.
