The name joins techne to rapha, the Hebrew word for healing; technology in the service of making things whole.

Software that connects to a medical practice’s EMR and invites patients to share their experience minutes after checkout, while the visit is still fresh. No staff time, no chasing. One Northern Virginia practice grew from 78 to 117 Google reviews with it, fully automated.

Licensed in Virginia, I manage and advise on a small portfolio of residential properties for owners who want their homes stewarded well; rent, repairs, tenants, and the hundred small decisions in between.

An app for small circles of people who reach their goals together. Draw the circle, set the rhythm, show up and be seen. It is built on a conviction I hold theologically and have watched work practically: no one becomes who they are meant to be alone, and grace moves people further than shame ever has.

Over the past year I have been building my own operating system; not a kernel, but a life layer. It lives in the terminal, remembers everything in plain text, and puts an AI to work on the ordinary fabric of a day: it reads and triages my email, ranks what matters this morning, watches the bills, journals my sessions, and answers in my own voice patterns.

My doctoral work stands at the exact intersection this site is named for: artificial intelligence and spiritual formation. The guiding question is older than the machines: man was made in the image of God, and now man makes machines in his own image. What does that mean for prayer, for attention, for authenticity, for the soul of a person formed in a world of screens?

I am a builder before I am a writer, so essays appear here when the building produces them, not on a schedule. The first: An Orthodox Ordering of Life’s Resources, on what freedom, time, energy, attention, knowledge, relationships, and money become when they are ordered toward theosis rather than self-actualization.

FOCUS feeds, clothes, and houses neighbors in need across the country. My part is quieter: building the data systems behind the ministry, so that the people doing the feeding and housing can see their donors, their programs, and their books clearly. Plumbing, in other words; but even the Temple needed plumbing.

A nonprofit that funds new Orthodox Christian ministry projects: creators propose them, supporters fund them, and the Church is edified. Its first fully funded project, a Coptic-English Psalmody, raised over twenty-six thousand dollars from ninety-three donors. I support the work and the vision behind it: that ministry ideas should not die for lack of a patron.
